I once was a sucker for get rich quick schemes...

I traveled down that twisty road of being told I could sleep and make millions.....well it's all hogwash, and if there is anybody who thinks they can make money by getting rich off the other people they are mistaken.
I have been down that avenue:

Here's one story:


It all began with an ad in the paper...it went something like this:

Management position, training provided, no experience necessary.

I should have known that when the ad didn't mention what it involved it would be selling......

I don't do selling well. In fact I can't sell something I don't believe in.

So the next day I come in for an interview and I get the job...Great! I need a job....

That's when I am introduced to the Kirby G-5 Series.....The next generation in Kirby Vacuums.

uhhh! You have got to be kidding. I had NO idea this was the job, and my first day of work turns out to be cold turkey door knocking.....
How lame is that!

SO I am "encouraged" by others at this company to just stay for one day....so I am obligated by this great big pep talk... where everyone seems to be so enthusiastically filled with glee. I just couldn't get out of it.... I so wanted to run away as fast as I could!

Knocking on the front door of someones house asking them if I could give them a few minutes of my time, by shampooing a carpet area in their house...and I would give them a free two liter of coke in return......

well.....

some would look at me and let me come in...others laughed....and sometimes I knocked so softly, that I hoped no one would come to the door.

I eventually shampooed some friends carpets for free, and did the mattress test...but I didn't have my heart set on selling vacuums...... so I tried something different....it was just as crazy...
